John performs solo and in several bands that he founded and manages/leads, as well as playing sideman in other artist's live and studio projects.
Golden Gate Wingmen
A group founded by John in 2014 featuring Jeff Chimenti (Ratdog, Furthur, Dead & Co) on keyboards, Jay Lane (Ratdog, Furthur, Primus) on drums, and Reed Mathis (Billy & the Kids, Tea Leaf Green, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey) on bass.
Fellowship of the Wing
A spinoff of the Golden Gate Wingmen, when a substitute (who also performed in a Grateful Dead member side project) is filling in. Todd Stoops (Bill Kreutzmann, RAQ, Kung Fu) has been the main sub for, well... all Fellowship of the Wing shows, so far!
